With the start of the year 1974, Eng. Mohamed Mahmoud Nosseir, a young Egyptian businessman, founded a group of companies that he named ALKAN Group. Within the thirty years to follow, the ALKAN Group grew to become one of Egypt's leading private sector groups involved in a broad range of economic activities.
In 1999, Mr. Nosseir established a holding company, named ALKAN Investment, as an Egyptian joint-stock company. In 2004, the name of this holding company has been changed to ALKAN Holding.
Over the years and since its foundation in 1974, ALKAN Group has grown to become one of Egypt’s leading business conglomerates and most respected corporations. Widening the scope of services and activities each day, ALKAN Holding owns several subsidiary companies actively engaged in multiple business fields, ranging from communication & information technology, real estate and manufacturing to trade & distribution and tourism & aviation.
